Description

There is a smell that belongs to a certain kind of Indian kitchen — warm, nutty, deep, and slightly sweet. It rises with the first sputter of mustard seeds. It settles into the grain of wooden shelves and the memory of every meal cooked with care. It is the smell of real groundnut oil, pressed the old way, from groundnuts that still carry everything nature put into them.

For most of the last century, that smell was everywhere. The local ghani — a heavy stone or wooden press turned slowly by a bullock or by hand — was the heart of every oil-producing village. The process was unhurried. The heat was minimal. The oil that emerged was alive with natural fats, antioxidants, and flavour.

Then efficiency arrived. Industrial expellers. Solvent extraction with chemical agents. High-heat processing that increases yield but destroys nutritional integrity. Bleaching and deodorising to give the oil a "clean" appearance and extend its shelf life. What emerged from the factory bore the name of an oil — but very little of its character, and even less of its nourishment.

Heartyculture's Virgin Cold-Pressed Groundnut Oil was made to bring the ghani back into your kitchen.

We start with raw, unroasted groundnuts — sourced with the same care we give every ingredient in our range. We press them slowly, using the traditional wooden cold-press method, without introducing heat or chemical solvents at any stage. We filter the oil naturally, lightly — enough to ensure cleanliness, not so much that we strip it of its natural colour, aroma, and nutrients.

What arrives at your door is oil as it was always meant to be. The smell of something real. The taste of something honest. The quiet confidence of knowing exactly what you're feeding your family.

The best cooking oil is the one that does the least to its ingredients — and the most for the people eating them.

What’s Inside the Tin?

We believe in radical transparency. Our oil is extracted using the ancient wood-pressing (Lakdi Ghani) method, ensuring that every drop retains the natural proteins, vitamins, and earthy aroma of sun-dried premium groundnuts. No additives, no preservatives just nature’s liquid gold.

100% Pure Cold-Pressed Groundnut Oil

Vitamin E: 14% Daily Value per serving.

100% Pure Cold-Pressed Groundnut Oil

The quality of your oil dictates the quality of your health. By using premium, non-GMO groundnuts and avoiding the high-heat friction of modern machinery, we preserve the Resveratrol and Omega-6 fatty acids. This ensures your body receives essential fats that support brain function and skin elasticity rather than inflammatory industrial byproducts.

Six Reasons Your Family Benefits — Every Day

An Oil That Works As Hard As You Do in the Kitchen

A Heart-Healthy Choice at Every Meal

A Heart-Healthy Choice at Every Meal

The oleic acid and MUFA profile of cold-pressed groundnut oil actively supports healthy cholesterol levels — reducing LDL and supporting cardiovascular health with every use. It is one of the most nutritionally sound choices you can make for the family's daily cooking.
Gentle on the Gut — Even After a Full Meal

Gentle on the Gut — Even After a Full Meal

Unlike heavy refined oils that can feel viscous and difficult to digest, virgin groundnut oil has a naturally light texture and is easy on the digestive system. It supports better nutrient absorption from the food it is cooked with — particularly fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K.
Inflammation, Quieted at the Source

Inflammation, Quieted at the Source

Resveratrol — the anti-inflammatory polyphenol preserved in cold-pressing — works at the cellular level to soothe the systemic, inflammation that accumulates with age, stress, and a diet heavy in processed oils. Cooking with the right oil is one of the most undervalued anti-inflammatory choices available.
Healthy Fats That Work With Your Metabolism

Healthy Fats That Work With Your Metabolism

Not all fats slow you down. The healthy fats in virgin groundnut oil are used by the body as clean fuel — supporting metabolic function, regulating energy output, and contributing to satiety that prevents overeating.
High-Heat Stability You Can Actually Trust

High-Heat Stability You Can Actually Trust

With a smoke point of approximately 230°C (450°F), virgin groundnut oil is one of the most heat-stable natural cooking oils available. It does not break down into toxic compounds at frying temperatures — making it the safest natural choice for the deep frying and high-heat cooking that Indian cuisine genuinely requires.
Skin That Eats Well Too

Skin That Eats Well Too

The Vitamin E richness of virgin groundnut oil makes it effective not just in the kitchen, but as a topical nourisher — applied as a natural moisturiser, scalp treatment, or overnight skin conditioner. The same antioxidant compounds that protect your cells when consumed work at the surface level when applied. One tin. Two kinds of nourishment.
From the Tadka to the Table — Four Ways to Use It

An Oil Versatile Enough for Every Corner of Your Kitchen — and Beyond.

01

The Daily Tadka — Where Every Indian Meal Begins

The Daily Tadka — Where Every Meal Begins As mustard seeds crackle and spices release their aroma, flavour finds its foundation. Crafted with a warm, earthy richness, our oil brings depth to your everyday tempering -from dal to sabzi, chutneys to rice.
02

High-Heat Frying — Crisp, Clean, Confident

With a naturally high smoke point, virgin groundnut oil stays stable through intense heat, preserving both flavour and integrity. From pakoras to pooris and festive snacks, it delivers a clean, balanced crunch — without bitterness. Designed for mindful kitchens, it retains its quality across multiple uses, without compromise.
03

Raw Finishing — Drizzle, Dress, Enhance

The gentle nutty character of cold-pressed groundnut oil makes it unexpectedly excellent as a raw finishing oil. Drizzle over warm rice before serving. Mix into chaats and salads in place of processed dressings. Stir through warm khichdi. Use as the base for chutneys ground in a stone mortar. Every application delivers fat-soluble vitamin absorption alongside a flavour note that only an unrefined oil carries.
04

Skin & Hair — From the Kitchen to the Bathroom Shelf

A tablespoon of virgin groundnut oil massaged into the scalp before washing supports hair follicle health and reduces dryness — its Vitamin E content doing the same work topically that it does internally. As a body moisturiser, it absorbs beautifully into skin without leaving a heavy residue. As an overnight treatment for dry hands or feet, it rivals products that cost ten times as much. This is one of those rare kitchen staples that belongs in more than one room of your home.

We Thought You Might Ask

"Virgin" means the oil has not been refined, bleached, deodorised, or processed beyond basic natural filtration. It is extracted once, from raw groundnuts, without introducing heat or chemicals at any stage. The word matters because it is the difference between an oil that still contains the full nutritional profile of the groundnut and one that has had much of that profile removed in the name of longer shelf life and a cleaner appearance. Ours is the former.
Nothing is wrong — this is the most common question we receive, and we appreciate it because it reveals something important: we have all been conditioned to associate a pale, clear oil with quality. In reality, the pale colour of refined oils is achieved through bleaching. The warm golden colour of our oil is its natural state — the visual signature of an oil that has not been stripped. The same way unfiltered apple juice looks cloudy compared to processed apple juice: the version with character is the version with nutrition.
Absolutely — and in fact, it is one of the safest oils available for deep frying. Its smoke point of approximately 230°C (450°F) means it remains chemically stable at the high temperatures required for Indian deep frying — pakoras, poori, vada, murukku, bonda, and more. It does not break down into harmful compounds at these temperatures the way lower smoke-point oils can. The oil can also be strained and reused responsibly without significant quality loss.
No. 100% pure groundnut oil — no added preservatives, no antioxidant additives, no artificial colour, no artificial fragrance, no chemical processing agents. If it came from a groundnut, it is in the tin. If it didn't, it isn't.
Because it is a natural, unprocessed product. The aroma of virgin groundnut oil depends on the natural variation in the groundnuts themselves — their maturity, the season of harvest, the specific batch of seeds. Industrial refined oils eliminate this variation entirely through deodorisation — but in doing so, they eliminate the oil's authentic character. A small variation in aroma between batches is the honest behaviour of something real. Embrace it.
No. Groundnut oil — including cold-pressed virgin groundnut oil — is derived from peanuts (groundnuts) and should be avoided entirely by anyone with a peanut or groundnut allergy. If you are allergic or sensitive, we recommend our cold-pressed Sesame Oil or Coconut Oil from the Everyday Staples range instead.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight — a kitchen cabinet or pantry shelf works well. The tin format protects the oil from light degradation, which is one of the primary causes of rancidity in unrefined oils. Once opened, use within 12 months for best flavour and nutritional quality. Keep the lid sealed between uses.
